SPRINGTIME
Wildflower Wonder! See the Tuscan landscape come alive with spring! This time of year offers refreshing rides among the tuscan hills where different wildflowers are coming into bloom every day!
EARLY SUMMER (late May)
Cherry Blossom and Cherry delight! This time of year offers beautiful views of the blooming cherry, apple, peach and apricot trees. Often stops are made on route to pick wild cherries and to get apricots off the trees in the vineyards orchard.
SUMMER
Summer Fruit! Peaches, plums, apricots and pears are just a few of the fruits we sample along the way on the bike ride. In addition to this, we get to escape the city heat! Our trip up to Fiesole almost always guarantees a cool breeze and a lot less humidity than in the city.
LATE SUMMER / EARLY FALL
Garden of Eden! First we stop for fresh figs picked right off the tree, then later on we walk through the vineyards and snack on grapes
FALL
The Essence of Italy! Experience the sights, smells and tastes of the first the grape harvest, then later in the month of October/early November, the olive harvest. A busy time of year in the Chianti region and at the vineyards while the grapes are brought in and new wine is being made! Later, we ride by olive groves and sometimes see the hand picking of the extra virgin olive oil olives! Time permitting, we stop at the "frantoio" where the olives are pressed.
