Full-Day Tuscany & Chianti Bike Tour
Spend a full day riding 28 miles through Tuscany and the Chianti hills, up and down quiet roads, discovering authentic towns, rolling landscapes, and traditional flavors. This is our most time-tested tour – running since the 1990s, with many guests returning year after year.
We depart from our office in the traditional Oltrarno district of Florence, a local and authentic area away from the busiest streets. What we call our “green tour” is all about sustainability: just you, your bike, and your guide, with zero carbon footprint.
The route takes us through small towns and villages before reaching the open countryside. One of the highlights of the day is a stop at a family-run Chianti winery, owned by local friends, where you’ll walk through vineyards and olive orchards, learn about winemaking and extra virgin olive oil, and enjoy a traditional Tuscan lunch paired with wine and oil tastings.
After lunch, the ride back to Florence is mostly downhill, passing forests, castles, and small wine estates along the way. We return to our office by 4:30 pm – just in time for us to recommend the best spot for an aperitivo or a refreshing gelato.
This is the ideal tour for bike enthusiasts and weekend riders comfortable with hills. An E-bike upgrade is available if you prefer a little extra support.
Additional Information & Extras
- Optional E-bike upgrade: €30 per person (minimum age 14 years, minimum height 150 cm). Limited availability – request early by email.
- Safety note: participants must be proficient riders, comfortable on hills, and in good physical condition.
- The tour runs mostly on quiet countryside roads shared with traffic – good bike control is essential.
